I have a problem.
My GPU-acceleration seems to cause some problems (from what I have read). I have random freezes of Lightroom 6.1.1, so I tried to uncheck the GPU-acceleration. This caused Lightroom to crash. So I looked up in the support-forums and found that I only had to chance the autobahn setting to false. I did this, BUT always when I did this and restarted Lightroom the check box in the preferences was activated again, and the manually changed settings in the config-file was set to true again (and on startup the disabled tooltips and stuff was shown again).
So how can I disable the GPU-acceleration (without that, it turns itself on again)?
I have running Windows 8.1 (64bit), an AMD FX 8350 with an AMD Radeon R9 280X. The system is stable and all the drivers/updates are the latest.
Hopefully somebody can help me,
thank you very much!
I solved my problem, but don't understand why:
- I switched from the develop module to the web module and opened the settings dialog. Then I was able to uncheck the box. After a restart of Lightroom, the box is still unchecked.
