Please close Lightroom,Sign out of Creative Cloud and sign back in.

I have signed out of Lightroom twice and signed in again. I also followed Scott's instructions for changing the SLCache settings for Windows 7. I no longer am getting the Reduced Functionality message but when I open Creative Cloud and select "Install Update," nothing happens. Please advise.
I just tried opening Lightroom again and though I am signed in, I am being asked if I want a trial subscription. Very frustrating! Also for some reason it is not recognizing my external hard drive which is plugged into a USB port.
