Hi Ali... Did you previously import a "ToiletJohn.2 (1).psd" file? Also, it looks like you just deleted the contents of the Getting Started Project (Preview 2), then just imported in the same project, correct? We'd like to analyze that project file if you wouldn't mind sending it to us. If OK, please do the following: 1. Choose File > Reveal Project in Finder. 2. Duplicate the selected project folder to make a backup of it. 3. Choose File > Copy Media Files into Project Folder. (This copies any imported files into the project's Ch Media subfolder for easier packaging up to send to us.) 4. Quit Character. 5. Archive the original project folder (not the duplicate), and send it to us via Dropbox or Creative Cloud Files shared link. You can send me a direct message with that link. Because the current project is now referencing the imported media from the Ch Media folder, as opposed to where you originally had it, if preferred, you can open the backup (duplicated) project to keep working using the artwork referenced in their original location. Thanks.
You're totally right. I overwrote the getting started project (Preview 2), with my toilet john files. Crappola! I want to get that back because I wanted to go through it all again to see how to do everything. I was able to delete it, but then when I went to the welcome window and opened up the "getting started project" it takes it back to my toiletjohn.psd.
I'll do what you said and send you the duplicated file, but would you mind somehow re-sending me the 'getting started project' with the guy with the fire? I'd really love to go through it again. Oy vey! I'm an idiot.
Thank you for your help!
Ali... The application can recreate the Getting Started Project (Preview 2) if it's not on disk... Just quit the app, rename that "Getting Started Project (Preview 2)" folder to something else, relaunch the app, then click "Start Here!" again.
Awesome. That worked perfectly. I got it back. Below is a link to the previous file that messed everything up for you guys to analyze. Let me know if for some reason it doesn't work.
Again, thank you so much for your help. You're awesome.
Hi Ali... Can you .zip up the project folder (which contains the .chproj file, and the Ch Data and Ch Media subfolders) and share that .zip file? There are a bunch of files in Ch Data, so it's easier to grab if just a single archive. Thanks.
