That's an Adobe plugin, not an outside vendor...
What version of ID are you running? What OS? Looks like CC on mac, but which versions?
Did this version ever work? Clean install of both OS and InDesign, or some sort of migration or OS update?

Contacted support for help but that didn't resolve my issue. My OS is 10.10.3 (updating to 10.10.4 as we speak). Prior to updating my OS, re downloaded/ updated my InDesign CC (that didn't repair things :/). I'm hoping with OS updated and with downloading InDesign again it will be fixed. Not sure. My version is at least 9.3 now so I think something isn't communicating between my OS and the program too.

I'd run the uninstaller, then the cleaner tool (CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3) before you reinstall. Also run Disk Utility to repair permissions. Updating the OS is always a bit of a gamble with Adobe apps.
