Sounds like a question you should be posing to Microsoft unless you are only having problems with an Adobe font.

Hello Dov,

   I did not make my question complete; I have MS word type, in an Asian font, copied and when pasted in to an InDesign document 98% can be formatted and 2% not. For the 98% I used my Asian type faces, but that does not cover all the Asian fonts.
