I have tried some of these solutions already. Tried to uninstall Creative Cloud and reinstall it but it crashes on initialisation of new CC. Tried Adobe Cleaner to remove older versions of Creative Suite 5 - which also freezes. Will try again and report back if one of the solutions works. Thanks for your help.
Sure! We would would be happy to help you further.
Thanks for the suggestions. I have tried all of the solutions below - using Adobe Cleaner to remove all old versions of creative suite CS5 and CS6 etc. Removed the OOBE folder then restarted Creative Cloud. The Spinning Progress Wheel Still Turns. Can Sign In to Adobe ID and access Assets Folder via web. Tried downloading Acrobat Reader from web which also failed. Creative Cloud Version is 184.108.40.206. Mac is running OS X Yosemite 10.10.4 Tried turning firewalls and security off. Network connection okay. Any other thoughts?
Kindly try the following steps and share the results.
1. Close all these processes mentioned below from Activity Monitor
- Adobe CEF Helper`
- Adobe Desktop Service
- Creative Cloud
- AAM Update Notifier
- Core Sync
2. Rename the following folders.
- /Applications/Utilities/Adobe Application Manager
- /Applications/Utilities/Adobe Creative Cloud
- /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Desktop Common
- /Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE
- ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE
3 Install Creative Cloud from : https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud
Thanks for your help Atul.
I went into the Activity Monitor App. and Quit Process on the following. (I did not need to force quit).
• Creative Cloud
• Adobe Desktop Service
• Adobe IPCBroker
• Adobe Update Daemon
• CCL Library
• Core Sync
(I didn't manage to find the others on the list above )
I installed creative cloud again. The spinning progress wheel stopped and I can see Home Apps Assets Stock Community, which is great.
I then updated Photoshop 2015 and InDesign 2015 - which worked well.
I also tried to install Acrobat Pro DC which failed. Retrying that again but it failed telling me there was a conflict installing it. But thanks for your help. The steps you gave me above have allowed me to make progress. I will try repeating the process and will rename the folders.
If you don't see a spinning wheel, you don't have to try any of the steps mentioned above to troubleshoot Acrobat installation.
Please tell us if you have any previous version of Acrobat installed on your machine, so that we can assist you further.
