When I open InDesign and click on my document from the recent document menu, I'm told that the file either does not exist, you don't have permission or the file is in use in another application. I also cannot find it anywhere on my computer, but did not delete it. I have a Macbook Pro. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
The most likely possibilities are the file was moved or deleted, or that the .idlk lock file in the folder was not automatically deleted when the file was closed.
So there is no possible solution? I exported the indesign document to a pdf which I still have saved... is it possible to export it back to an indd file from the pdf?
Ii didn't say there was no solution. If the file was deleted, can it be recovered from the trash? If it was moved, use File > Open and open from the new location. If it's the lock file, you can delete that.
