After Effects rendering eating up hard drive space

So I just downloaded After Effects to clean up some dead pixels in a video project I'd started in Premiere Pro, and after making the corrections using the Adobe Dynamic Link, I've opened a new project in Premiere to export the corrected file. The only thing is, during export it is killing my disk space. I've moved the cache files to an external hard drive so I'm not sure what the problem is. I know that in Premiere there is a render option which helps this, but I don't know what else to do in After Effects. Help!
