My goal is to create an interactive PDF with InDesign that contains url links within the copy to specific pages.
The problem I am facing is after I paste the url into the hyperlink field it is converting the "&" characters to "%" characters in the url. As a result it changes the url which makes it invalid.
Anyone have any advice? Thanks!

I think you're putting a space in the URL.
Just double check and there are no spaces. Thanks tho
An ampersand in a URL is one thing, but an external link to that URL can only happen with markup, and in markup (HTML) the lone ampersand is an illegal character which must be "escaped" by using "&".
