I had to create a descendent master page containing a different style of page number. In the process, the font size was unintentionally changed. I need to (a) find the settings of the basic page number, (b) create a named style for that, then (c) make a descendent style for the new page master.
Question: where is the page number style setting made/changed?
In online help I'm pointed to Layout | Numbering and Section Options, but that seems to refer to an older version of inDesign (?).
Any ideas appreciated, as always.
You format the page number right on the master page the same way you would any text.
Select it and apply a style or change the formatting using the controls in the Character and/or Control panels.
