    Question on RAW files

    sbr1111

I am trying to open a RAW file made on a NIKON D3300 and I get an error saying to check whether or not the camera is supported.  It is.  Not sure what to do next.

Each model camera’s raws must be supported specifically and if your camera model was released after the last update to whatever software you’re using, it won’t be supported.

The D3300 was first supported in the Camera Raw 8.4 which is only compatible with PS CS6 and PS CC and PSE12 or newer.

The general options are to upgrade to a newer version of the software, or use the free DNG Converter to create DNGs from the newer camera NEFs and those DNGs will work in the older software version.

The DNG Converter is available, here:  http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/
