I wondered, having to re-time animations due to audio/script changes can be a real pain, even with things like Rift and Add/Delete Frames scripts, and there's a lot of projects where you are unable to insist on a locked down v/o beforehand. Does anyone have any insights/tips/advice when it comes to animating and editing animations to avoid or lessen the frustration of re-timing?
Depending on the animation, but sometimes you can get away with simply precomping the whole shebang and then using time-remapping on that precomp.
It can be a right royal pain. I'm dealing with massive modifications to a big project myself at the moment. All I can say is to make sure the client understands such changes won't be easy or fast, and come with a price.
