Should I use rec 709 if all photos to be displayed on hdtv?

I display all my photos on my Samsung LED HDTV in the form of slideshows.  HDTVs use the rec 709 color space, and my monitor, Lightroom and Photoshop can support rec 709.  Intuitively, I would think that my colors and brightness would be more correct if I kept everything in rec 709 mode.  Am I overthinking this, or should I, therefore, do all my post processing with LR and PS in rec 709 before converting my processed RAW or TIFF images to JPEGs for my slide show, or should I just use the usual sRGB space?
