I'm an intern at a publishing house and for one of my assignments I was asked to lay out a book in Indesign CS6. The book has been laid out and now my supervisor has asked me to send her the files for the book so that her techie can E-publish the book. I sent the files but the tech person says they can't be opened because there is a security code on the files. I never put a code on the files so I have no idea how to access this information. How do I share these files with someone/grant them security access?
Doesn't sound like it's related to InDesign...
What are the exact error messages being seen, and what is being done when they appear?
If ePublish means a PDF, you can easily export this yourself. If it's an epub the techie person would have to have a copy of Indesign at least CS6 and the text would need styling etc to export it successfully as an ePub.
