I have 500 photos that I have edited in Lightroom and saved as 4" x 6". Costco Canada's website is down so I have to take them to them for printing. The quality is only OK and when I asked about that, was told to download the appropriate ICC profile for my local Costco, from Drycreek.ca. I have done that but now wonder what I would do in Lightroom to process these photos again, with the correct profile. Is this where Soft proofing comes into play? Can anyone provide any guidance?
Yes, you would use the appropriate profile in soft proofing. I usually make a virtual copy to use as the soft proof, and making adjustments to it as needed.
But how do I apply my Costco ICC profile to my photo?
Got it now Jim. Go to Develop module and under Soft Proof change the profile to what I downloaded. Makes perfect sense. Now if only Lightroom would allow one to create an action to automate the process...
