I opened a PDF in Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. I tagged the document. I saved the document and closed it. I re-opened it again in Adobe Acrobat XI Pro and images and text within the document had changed, vanished, or become unreadable. How do I ensure this does not happen again? Is it a conversion issue? Why can't I speak to a real, live person to get help with this? PLEASE respond ASAP!!! @AdobeCare
It sounds like you may be experiencing a z-order problem, where some of the content elements are hiding behind others. This is pretty common when tagging a document. The Order pane in Acrobat Pro is the intended tool for fixing this. The Content pane can also be used and provides a finer level of control. In either case you will need to move content elements into the correct order. For example if your document has text on a shaded background, the background Path or Image element(s) must be before the text in the content order.
This is a user-helping-user forum by the way - though sometimes Adobe folks will also participate.
Hope this helps.
