I'm trying to export Flash to a video. I get this message
"Quicktime may need to be installed in order to view or convert the video in Adobe Media Encoder."
Despite the error message it "seems" to go and spits out a mov file, but only the audio comes across (the video is just black).
I'm using Flash Professional CC, but older versions (CS6) seem to have the same issue.
Any tips on how to export from flash to a non-swf format?
I would always choose to not send the video through Adobe Media Encoder, which may stop the error message.
What is in your timeline? Export to video cannot export embedded H.264 video. If you're doing animation and audio to go on top of an existing H.264 video, do the export but make sure you have the alpha checkbox set when exporting. Then you can combine the old H.264 movie with the animation and sound you made in Flash.
It appears that my player was not capable of replaying the file. I loaded VLC media player and now it works.
