If all you wanted to do was rant, I hope you feel better.
OTOH, if you want help, let us know what the problem is and perhaps we can offer some.
not even close to a rant... an honest question about the logic involved in releasing a application used to design text heavy documents that has font management issues.
if all you want to do in avoid the issue... I hope you feel better.
as for the issue that's clearly documented in other threads about font issues, I was able to get it to work. I just expect things to work without having to trouble shoot and spend time finding working arounds. Next time I'll be sure to spend more of my time writing up the issue so your time isn't waisted with snarky rebuttals.
First off I don't work for Adobe. I'm a volunteer.
Now, that out of the way, perhaps you'd like to fill me in because I'm not aware of any specific font issues.
As Bob states, this is a user-to-user help forum.
It would help if you stated which version of InDesign you're using, which version of your OS, which fonts you're you're trying to use and describe the issues.
There were a couple of font listing issues (search first word only was one) for the initial release of version 11, but the 11.1 update is supposed to have fixed those...
There are definitely issues using some third-party font managers, but those are not problems with InDesign, per se, but rather problems caused by trying to use incompatible plugins from old versions of the font managers in new versions of ID. Updating the font manager should fix those.
I've got it working now... Thanks
InDesign CC2015 126.96.36.199
FontExplorer X Pro 4.2.3
Glad you got it sorted. What worked for you?
