I just installed premiere elements on my mac. works fine on my account but not on my kids accounts.
the welcome screen shows up then i click video editor -- new project. it looks like something is going to happen, but eventually stops and the app never starts.
I have parental controls on the kids accounts but have allowed access thru every message that showed up when starting premiere elements
any ideas as to what is going on? Thanks,
As far as I know, Premiere Elements is...
1 - not multi-user... it is tied to the account of the person who owns and activated the program
2 - requires the user to be in an Administrator account
Not 100% sure about number 1, am sure about number 2
I am strictly an Elements Windows person. But, do try to find common ground in troubleshooting Premiere Elements Windows Mac issues.
What version of Premiere Elements are you using?
When you talk about "accounts" for members of your family, are you talking about computer user accounts or Adobe accounts related to Adobe ID and password. It seems likely that you are referring to computer user accounts. In other words, the program is normally signed in with your Adobe ID and password and is being used under your User Account as Administrator. What are the types of computer accounts that members of your family use to replace yours?
Here I think that you will need to look to permissions beyond parental control.
