After Effects exports at 1920x1080. I need the screen size to be 900w x 1200h.
• I don't see how to do it in AE so I sent it to Media Encoder and put in 900x1200. But the result is a tiny screen surrounded by a huge black frame.
• Also tried Quicktime 7 Pro -- exported from AE at 1920x1080 then changed dimensions in Quicktime. But same tiny screen.
How do I export from AE at 900x1200? Thank you.
It's not clear what you mean. As far as AME is concerned, the output settings defined there override AE's comp size, but since certain formats use constrained resolutions, that's not always possible. Otherwise nothing stops you from simply nesting your output comp in a suitably sized comp for rendering.
Generally media players have only two frame ratios. 4:3 and 16:9. Put any video that is not that frame ratio and you will see what you are seeing. If you have a specific frame size you must meet then you also have to have a media player compatible with that frame size.
