One of the first projects I imported into Lightroom was a wedding, and I have a half-dozen keywords relevant to that event (bride, groom, toast, cake, kiss, dancing, mingling, etc).
NOW, when I import a new shoot, I add the relevant keywords and import, and when I go into Grid mode, there are all the wedding keywords assigned as well. I then have to delete each of them, and it keeps happening. What am I overlooking?
In the Import window, make sure that in the right-hand column, Apply During Import > Keywords is set to just the keywords you want, and that Apply During Import > Metadata is set to None.
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!
That was it, John - the sticky keywords were hiding in my (c) 2015 metadata
settings. Thank you, sir!!

Great, glad it was that easy to fix.
