I have a simply .pdf form with a hyperlink to a .bat file that runs a routine to open a viewer and open a file. It works fine when running from Adobe 9 Standard but when folks run it from Adobe Reader 9 and up they get an error message that these types of files (.bat) can not be executed from Adobe Reader. I'm guessing they are on the blacklist like .exe files. Is there a way around this? I'm using this on a captive network so I not worried about a virus from an external .bat file. Any help would be appreciated!
I have exactly the same issue. Adobe Reader XI and Windows 7. I want to execute a link to a .bat file (URL to anywhere is fine) but nothing happens.
I can't see specific mention in the Acrobat Security Guide.
Anyone succeeded with this?
