    View State - Problem

    Macys_Mike Level 1
      I have defined 3 view states. I have some code that runs when the application is started to determine which view state should be shown. The problem is that I am unable to programmatically set the current view state.

      Example:
      I am using the following actionscript to set the current state (but all this does is show a blank white page).
      this.setCurrentState("defaultView");

      <mx:State name="defaultView">
      <mx:AddChild position="lastChild">
      .....
      </mx:AddChild>
      </mx:State>

      <mx:State name="adminView">
      <mx:AddChild position="lastChild">
      .....
      </mx:AddChild>
      </mx:State>

      It seems to me that this should be pretty straight forward, either I'm missing something or it really isn't straight forward.
      I appreciate any ideas you might have!
      Thanks,
      - Mike
