you should open the psb file in photoshop and save it in other format (for example psd, tiff, ecc).

then you can import it in indesign

            Bonjour,

            Merci.

            Hello,

Thank you for that; I know that. I know the other functions.

But the question was: How to import .psb file in InDesign 2014?

            Not how to import anything.
            Illustrator can do that, him.
            Thanks.

InDesign can not import files psb.

to my knowledge even illustrator can't import psb file (I have CC 2015)

I just did a little test and re-saved a .psd as .psb (in CS6). The file isn't really large enough top warrant the format, but I don't think that would affect importability.

I created a new .indd (also in CS6) and issued a Place command. The .psd version of the file shows in the list of importable files, but not the .psb. However, when I changed the list to all files from the dropdown, the .psb became visible and selectable, and it imported just fine and seemed to behave just like any other Photoshop file.

                  Thank you for that.

The temporary solution when the .psb is 1.5 or 3.2 GB or more would be generated in .psd flattening dynamic layers.

Too bad ; This adds weight to folders.

Adobe can he solve this problem?

                  I'll report them.

Illustrator matter if perfectly .psb to "Import" you place the menu Activate "All documents" instead of "All Readable Documents", and it is not new.

                  Thank you, about to follow.

                    Bonjour,

                    MercI.

                    Hello,

Yes, in Illustrator, do not worry.

We use .psb imported into Illustrator for any type of document or digital Print, no problem.

But in InDesign, where did you get the menu "All Readable Documents"?

                    Thank you.

                    Illustrator, OK :

                    InDesign, Where? :

I thought I remembered  having to do the same thing for Photoshop PDF (renamed to .pdp), but I was wrong. I did discover though that if you know the filename for the .psb (or enough to start typing it so it is offered in the list), you can type it into the name field even if you don't change to All Files and it will place OK.

                        Bonjour,

                        Merci.

                        Hello,

Thank you, Image, is pleased clear.

However, we do not have this drop-down menu on InD CS6, CC and CC2014!

Maybe is it a parameter setting in Preferences InD? (I did not see it.)

I do not know the US interface, but "Place" (US) is "Import" (FRA)?

And obviously, I am not the only one able to import .psb.

                        Thank you.

                          Bonjour,

                          Merci.

                          Hello,

                          I know .pdf is importable.

Indeed, renaming a .psb in .pdp, InDesign can import it!

                          What is this format, .pdp?

                          Capture d’écran 2015-08-28 à 15.05.04.png

The concern, then, is that it no longer opens .pdp is in PhotoShop!

well, you can simply drag and drop the psb file from the finder into indesign file

                              OUIIIIIIII,

                              Merci.

                              YESSSSSS,

                              That, was the solution!

However, it would be nice if Adobe allows to import .psb as it can be done in Illustrator.

                              Thank you.

You can drag from Bridge or Mini Bridge, too, either of which would also be a good solution if OS X doesn't offer the possibility to show all files (and that would be an OS shortcoming, not InDesign).
