The Los Angeles InDesign User Group, the local meeting and information exchange for knowledge and expertise related to digital publishing, celebrates its tenth anniversary on September 17, 2015 at the Golden Age Theater in Hollywood. David Blatner, an internationally-known expert on digital publishing, will deliver the keynote address with the eponymous topic, “10 Years of InDesign: Blatner's Favorite Tips.” Parking is free and there will be refreshments.
Keynote speaker David Blatner is the author of 15 books on topics such as InDesign and Photoshop—including Real World InDesign, InDesign Breakthroughs, Real World Photoshop, and the groundbreaking '90s classic The QuarkXPress Book. Over a half a million copies of his books are in print in 12 languages, and he has spoken at conferences and workshops around North America, Europe, Australia, Japan and South Africa.
Future Media Concepts, a training company with seven offices nationwide, will hold a drawing for $1500.00 toward any of their classes. This prize is separate from the raffles. No purchase is necessary to be eligible to win.
The person who travels the farthest specifically to attend the meeting will receive a free registration to one of two live, online, instructor-led classes courtesy of SkillForge. Choose from a two-day Photoshop CC class with a value of $650.00 or a three-day InDesign CC class with a value of $975.00.
We will have over 30 raffles with prizes totaling over $5000. Prizes range from tickets worth $7.99 to software worth $774.00. Visit www.laidug.com website for a complete list.
