Lost my right click in the finder

when I use to open files from adobe applications I have lost my ability to right click on files to get into on that file or compress a group of files to change the file view like the date the file modified or created

I still have the ability to click on the white space in other applications and for the pop up to appear(see image).

Does Finder mean Mac? (you should always post details when asking a question)

If Mac, have you recently updated the operating system?
