I merged few video clips ( .mp4 files) into one using Adobe Premiere Elements 13, and the merged video works well in Premiere Elements.
Using Premiere Elements I exported the merged file (in .prel format) as MPEG-2 file for sharing. When I tried to play the MPEG file in Windows Media Player, only the audio is playing and not the video. Quicktime does not even recognise the new mpeg file. Each of the individual video clip (.mp4) works fine on WMP and QT.
My PC is on Windows 10, and it can play MPEG format. Has anyone run into a similar problem and know how to fix this. Thank you.
Since the days of Windows 8.0 and 8.1, there has been a Microsoft no MPEG2 video codec support for the Windows Media Player. The workaround has been to go to another computer player. Most have been directed to the VLC Media Player VideoLAN - VLC: Official site - Free multimedia solutions for all OS!
I would suggest that, if you want to playback MPEG2.mpg video, look at the VLC Media player as the player for this video format..
