Every AE render I do turns out completely blurry but looks fine in the preview. I preview at Final Draft and Full resolution, but when I render I use (what I think are) the best settings. I had a blur effect on one of my layers but disabled it thinking that may be the problem, but got the same blurry final render.
Project: Still photograph in 3d space, set up camera tracking & keyframes. (Photoshop resolution of .psd file: 7360 × 4912 pixels)
I have tried:
-Rendering with "Motion Blur: Off for all Layers"
-Rendering with Adobe Media Encoder (same result)
Please help, I'm at a total loss! I am new to After Effects so I suspect I may be overlooking something elemental, but I haven't been able to find a working solution anywhere.
You have your timeline set to draft 3d, but it's rendering at full quality.
Draft 3d shuts off depth of field. So you're not seeing it in preview, but you are seeing it when you render full quality.
You have a few options. The two that stick out to me are to either turn off the depth of field on your camera or move the point of focus to the photo.
Worked like a dream, thanks so much!
