Go to the system preferences for Mac, choose keyboard go to the shortcuts tab.
On the left select the spotlight and then uncheck the option for the shortcut on the right window
Actually is not even working. Your solution is not even close to the real issue.
I have two MAC Mini. One with OS X 10.11.2 and second with OS X 10.10.5. On MAC with OS X 10.11.2 I did a fresh install of entire OS after an upgrade to RAM and removing old HDD with a new SSD. All Adobe CC2015 applications are freshly installed (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat). Both MACs are having Adobe CC2015 with the latest updates. On OS X 10.11.2 the spacebar is no longer functioning in any of Adobe applications. When I click on an image/box and keep SHIFT+LEFT click on a corner the image/box is resized proportionally. Now, this command is useless. The lack of Hand tool even when working inside a text box is even more annoying as I have to leave the text box and press H to activate Hand so I can move from one side of a document to another.
On OS X 10.10.5 all Adobe applications are working properly.
I even tried a hard reset of preferences. It worked until I closed any application. The moment I opened it again the same bad behaviour is performing. I even deactivate it almost all OS shortcuts. I left untouched those related to mission control.
I have enough of those minor incompatibilities between ADOBE and APPLE. I also have enough of being pushed from one side to another: APPLE says it is your fault, you will say it is APPLE's fault. What is more interesting is that I noticed on this Forum a lot of people complaining of these errors and yet your entire company is blaming damn shortcuts. Well, guess what. It is your company's fault. So fix this damn issue.
On OS X 10.11.2 the spacebar is no longer functioning in any of Adobe applications.
A number of people have reported that some Lightroom keyboard shortcuts stopped working for them on OS X 10.11 / El Capitan. See this bug report in the official Adobe feedback forum: Lightroom: Find and Full Screen command key shortcut conflict under OS X 10.11. Even though an Adobe employee has acknowledged the bug, that doesn't ensure that it will actually get fixed. So it's important to add your vote and details about your experience, which are a little different from the others. That bug report also describes the bug workaround of using OS X's System Preferences to override the Finder's built-in shortcuts.
On my Windows-10 system:
[Z] toggles the zoom,
[SPACEBAR] toggles the zoom. (ie. spacebar alone without CTRL/CMD)
The zoom "toggle" means the zoom magnification alternates between the last two settings used by clicking next to the Navigator Panel. (eg. FIT and 1:1 )
