I have yet to find any solution to this problem. It has been going on since I got this computer, even after upgrading to windows 10 from 8.1 and doing a fresh install. Basic system stats: MSI GT72 2QE Dominator Pro. Intel i7-5700HQ @ 2.70GHz. 16 GB RAM. 64 bit Windows 10 Home. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M 355.6 Driver currently installed.
This issue happens sporadically while using motion tracker in After Effects. I've been using 1080p footage through the Premiere Dynamic Link. This has all been while using a single track point for the purpose of stabilizing footage. Usually what happens is I am hitting play to auto track footage. Stopping and correcting. Then hitting auto track forward again. I get through this several times, and sometimes not at all. Suddenly, when I hit auto track, I get the generic message: "After Effects has stopped working."
In my event log, I get this...:

I am still very much an AE novice, so I have tried limited other things. But so far, motion tracker is the only part of the software I have used which causes this crash. It seems to do it less now than on Windows 8.1, but I still have issues. I also don't always get a "stopped working" message from windows. Every so often, I will get the grayed out screen, and task manager says the app has stopped responding, so I have to close it in task manager.
This has become a big issue, and even though I now hit CTRL-S practically every 30 seconds, I still lose a lot of work because of this. Hopefully something can be figured out.
We are currently working on a fix for an issue that causes a crash sometimes when you stop the point tracker during its analysis. The crash does not happen if you let the analysis complete.
