Version 13 accepts a much wider range of camcorder footage than version 10, philip. You will most certainly be able to use your AVCHD footage in version 13.
In your search for 1080p50 and 1080 50i Premiere Elements 13 project presets, how did you come to the conclusion
It appears that Elements 13 only has settings for 1080/60p or 1080/ 30i.
If you have Premiere Elements 13/13.1, please look in the following place and confirm whether or not you see what is in the following Premiere Elements 13/13.1 screenshot of its Change Settings area under File Menu/New/Project and New Project Dialog.
In Premiere Elements 13 (if you already have it), how is the project preset being set - you manually File Menu/New/Project or by the project automatically based on its analysis of the properties of the first file dragged to the Timeline?
Thanks so much for all your information. My query arose from my quick glance at Steve Grisetti’s book. He does not appear to mention either NTSC or PAL. Incidentally I have also received a very helpful reply from him. I will now purchase Elements 13 . If only I had done this in the first place clearly my query would not have arisen!
Thanks for the follow up.
Best wishes with your Premiere Elements projects. Did you know that Adobe is expected to release a new version of Premiere Elements (assumed named Premiere Elements 14) in September October 2015.Typically Adobe allows for complimentary new version if the prior version is purchased within 30 days of release of the new. Something to verify if that applies to your situation.
