Is there a way to import new fonts to InDesign?

I would just like to know how I can import new fonts to InDesign CC, if that were possible. I used to know how to do it with older versions of Photoshop, so I thought it should be possible.

Any font you have installed on your computer should be available in Indesign. (as well as Photoshop and other software)

If you have not installed the fonts, on Windows right click the fonts and choose Install. Not sure how it's done on a Mac.

If ID is running, a restart will be necessary for the fonts to show up.

Should the fonts still not show up, I have seen advice on this forum about copying them to Indesign's Font folder under Program Files.
