I've just installed the new update for LR from CC. I'm in the Develop module working on an image. Even though I have checked soft proofing and am working on a soft proof, in the box for Soft Proofing, the box and title for "Simulate paper and ink" is grayed out? Why and what can I do to have access to it?
Before I installed the update and was using LR 5, I didn't have this problem. I wonder if there is some set-up for the update that I didn't attend to.
Using LR CC latest update 21015 1.1 release on an Imac running 10.9.5.
Thanks for your help.
Simulate Paper & Ink option is only available if that information is available in the profile. Working spaces like Adobe RGB and sRGB don't have paper information in them, whereas some printer profiles do.Make sure you select your Printer Profile by clicking on the Other Profile Option.Refer Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Help | Develop module options
Please check if you find it under Profile>>Other
Thanks for the answer. I hadn't used LR in a while and didn't realize that I had to bring up the paper profile by selecting the Other list below.
