the easiest thing to do would be to place a stop() at the end of your rollout animation. that way you could just initiate a play() and not monitor logo2's timeline.
Hey kglad, hows it going.
i'm not sure what you mean, i dont have a rollout animation. All it is, its a 40 frame animation of the logo spinning, which is located inside the logo2 mc, and the buttons, they simply stop and start the playhead where it currently is..
the logo spin animation is just a loop, on the last frame of the animation i have gotoAndPlay("over");
(over is the name of the frame where the animation starts) which is frame 2. on frame 1 i have a stop(); to stop it from playing automatically.
thanx for your reply by the way, you always come to my aid. =)
for you halt/resume buttons and last frame of your logo2 animation use:
that doesn't seem to work kglad.
all it does is play the animation 2 times, then stops by it's self.
Thats the one... =)
works perfectly now. Thanx alot dude.
now comes the learning part for me, i have to understand how and why your code works. =)
if you want to reveal the secret, please do..
otherwise, wish me luck =)
by the way, what does !this mean? i've never see that before with !
Thanx for the commented version, this will make it soo much easier to use it on other projects.
playVar=0 is going to be ABUSED in my Flash use from now on. =)
Thanx for your continuing help
