Hi, I just had a quick question about moving layers along the timeline (see image provided). I've moved several layers so everything animates about 25sec later than initially set up, and then stretched the starting point to fill the gap (the dashed line under the layer shows the extension), but wondered if there's any drawbacks to this? It appears that the Fill effect doesn't continue back past the original start, however it does when scrubbing the timeline, is there anything else to watch out for?
I usually slip my layers back with the pan behind tool so that it doesn't do that. I've never seen a problem with it, but I have some obsessive tendencies so I like to try to keep things neat and those little lines bug me.
The lines bug me too Using the pan behind, the fill bar slides but doesn't add at the end! strange... Maybe it will on restart....
Some effects don't like it, it causes problems with particular and other Trapcode plugins. I've had problems with scripts as well so I usually use the pan behind tool, though you have to be careful with keyframes (any selected will also move, others won't).
The fill shouldn't be a problem though, especially that it appears when scrubbing, that's odd.
