Painting in AE is not as easy to do as painting in Photoshop or Illustrator. You can use a tablet and a stylus (WACOM) to bring pressure it to AE's paint controls, but you can't do it with a mouse.
But, it isn`t solve my problem. When I paint a character in AE and try to animate with Puppet, it become distorce in a ugly way. When I distorce a path, it remains perfect. That is what I need...
Puppet Pin must be applied to a still layer with no animation. That's how it works. The image cannot be animated or moving.
The normal workflow is to create your drawing in Photoshop or Illustrator and then animate it with Puppet Pin.
Yeah, but I believe AE should be updated with the user. More than 80 thousands users use Duik, developed by Duduf to animate characters in AE. It is very pratical and efficient. By far the best tool to animate character in AE. We use that in still images and shapes with good quality results. And it isn`t new.
By the way, it is strange that AE still don`t have more option for strokes of shapes. They could considered things like variation of thickness in strokes or diferent patterns...
