Im working with a shared library that lots of users are placing images in. Currently, we have to open an InDesign doc, place the images into the doc and then into the library.
Is there a way to point an InDesign library to a folder location, and automate the update process somehow?
Essentially meaning anyone can contribute to the library by just adding images to the folder.
Running a script of some sort maybe?
You sholud switch to the new CC Libraries. They can be shared between several staff members.
The folder is a shared location where multiple users are dumping various PNGs on a daily basis, and not all users have access to InDesign.
Id like to be able to update the InDesign library without having to do it manually each time theres a new image.
Im new to scripting, but Im trying to do the following:
1. Import PNGS from the shared folder onto a page in a blank doc.
2. Add all those PNGs to a specific library, excluding duplicates of the same name.
Use a CC library or use Bridge instead of a library.
