My aim is to color correct a few thousands of DNG images in lightroom 5. After importing them and then color correcting one image I select all of the other images and then syncronize. Afterwards, I return to the library and press metadata (mixed) in order to update my original DNG images on my drive so that they become exactly like those in lightroom.
The metadata update seems to work fine but when I check my drive (original folder) I can see that only the first image has been changed while the remaining have not been changed. What seems to be the problem. It used to work before but for some strange reason not any longer.
Thanks in advance,
I hope you are doing fine.
When you select photos in the filmstrip at the bottom, commands like writing metadata to XMP only apply to the first selected image. If you want the writing of metadata to XMP to apply to all photos, you need to select them all in the Grid display, not the filmstrip, and then write the metadata to XMP.
Ok. Maybe that's why it isn't working. I need to try it and come back. Thanks to both of you
