Could you please try and create a new Test Catalog and try Syncing in the new catalog.
Created new Test Catalog. When I activate synching O get this ominous message:
Lightroom enables you to sync one catalog with Lightroom Mobile.
You are currently syncing “Lightroom Sync Catalog-2.lrcat”.
If you choose to switch catalogs, all of the synced content from this catalog will be deleted from Lightroom Mobile.
This will not affect content stored on your computer. Would you like to sync this catalog instead?
Should I "switch catalogs"?
So if you click on Yes " Switch to this catalog" , then all the Syncing that was done from the Previous Catalog to your Lr Mobile will be gone.
However to get it checked we need to check with the newer catalog, so click on " Yes "
OK, so, just to check before I delete synched material, I just want to double-check - - when I return to my "main" catalog, it'll re-synch, correct? no data loss, etc.?
Yes, so none of the data will be lost, however you would have to resync the Collections in the previous catalog
OK - made a collection in my new library.
The collection is called "Test Collection," and I put 5 photos in it. It has successfully synced to my iPad. My "upper left" indicator does not indicate that any other photos are being synched (which is accurate).
Sounds good, so it might be a possibility that the other catalog might be corrupt.
- I have my main catalog in Dropbox. Careful to not open it on two devices at the same time, but still..
- Is there an efficient way to transfer my collections , smart collections, folders, etc. to a new catalog if I want to start anew?
As the best practice we do not suggest keeping the catalog on any network drive.
And you may merge the Old Catalog to the new one in Lightroom.
