What's going on?
just wondering if it's safe to update my iPad.
There were some people who were having problems with the app crashing with the iOS 9 beta but we released an update (Adobe Illustrator Draw — Scalable vector illustration with layers on the App Store) a couple of weeks ago that seems to have resolved that issue. And I haven't heard of anyone having any troubles since.
I know that doesn't completely answer your question. Hopefully some people will respond here with their experiences with the operating system.
cool. thanks. i'll wait and see what other people have to say. (or i won't and i'll take a chance )
LOL Rob, I'm gonna update my iPad after you.
The only problem I heard of was with the Bluetooth connectivity between a previous build and iOS9 beta, but the most recent update solved that issue. And it's possible that the iOS9 release candidate also fixed the problem.
Adobe Draw works the same as it did on my iPad 2 after the update to iOS9.
The update itself; however, took a lot of patience. Compared to prior updates, the iPad remained on the Apple logo for much, much longer than usual after restarting. During the first attempt over WiFi, I thought it had crashed and tried again through iTunes with the iPad connected to my iMac. iTunes actually detected that I was mid-update, but I did a restore anyway (holding the Home button and power button until the connect to iTunes screen appears) and tried the update again. The Apple logo was still on screen for a very, very long time upon the first restart. I didn't time how long the Apple logo remained on screen, but I had time to get some work done, start a support ticked with Apple support, and then came back to finally see the password prompt and was able to go through the prompts on the iPad to finish the iOS update (and subsequently cancel the support request with Apple).
