Ray-Tracing on the GPU requires an approved NVIDIA graphics card and CUDA 5.0 or later. For now, ray-tracing will use the CPU.

I've just had my 15" Macbook Pro w/ retina delivered today.

I installed CC After Effects and received this Warning message:

Ray-Tracing on the GPU requires an approved NVIDIA graphics card and CUDA 5.0 or later.

For now, ray-tracing will use the CPU.

After installing CUDA 5.0 or later, restart your computer.

      My mac spec is:

Processor: 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7

      Memory: 16GB 1600 MHz DDR3

      Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2048 MB

I have absolutely no idea what the implications are of having the AMD graphics card instead of the NVIDIA one, does anyone know what effect this will have on my mac when using CC After Effects? I have never had this warning on my 21.5" iMac..

Is there anything I can do?

      Many Thanks, Harry.
