We see that you had a Creative cloud subscription under the email address that you are using with forums, however the subscription expired one month ago.
In order to continue using CC kindly purchase a new subscription.
If you are using some other email address kindly share the ID in a private message.

Reconfirmed my payment details again, this time also giving my paypal
data again. Maybe I should have done so the first time. Didn't receive
any confirmation though. So maybe I really have to wait another 24 hours.

thanks for your reply. In the meantime the "problem" had been solved. My subscription has been re-activated. Just want to make clear that the confusion came up only because something happened which shouldn't happen. I was able to work with InDesign for several hours, BEFORE the payment had reached Adobe and my subscription had been re-activated.
So there's no need for another reply. But maybe somebody at Adobe wants to check out what went wrong, to prevent people using Adobe CC for free, even if it's only some hours.
