          Hi  Mandy.pants,

           

           

          Please make sure you have the latest version of Lightroom 6.1.1 installed on your computer.Go to Help>>Updates for checking updates.

          What exactly happens? Lightroom does not play Slideshow or it crashes while playing it.

          Also see if the current version of Quicktime installed on your computer.

            I also have this problem. Trying to contact Adobe is like trying to nail jelly to a ceiling It will start sometimes with one picture up to 10 pictures then it will crash my macbook pro!

              Hi lyndaj

               

              Thanks for Posting on Adobe Forums.

              The crashing issue you have with Lightroom could be a result of Read only Adobe folders or outdated QuickTime.

              Make sure you have latest version of QuickTime installed and Please Follow the steps below

               

               

              Close Lightroom and all other Adobe Programs.

               

              1. From the Menu bar on Desktop Select Go>>Go to Folder  Type "~/library/Application Support/"      (This is the User Library  [  do not miss ~ symbol ]
              2. Right Click on Adobe Folder
              3. Select Getinfo
              4. When you open GetInfo option for Adobe folder .
              5. Click on the Padlock at the Bottom Right and enter computer paasword
              6. Now Expand Sharing and Permissions  you will see your username.Give Read and Write Access to all the
              7. Make sure to click on '+' symbol , it will open list of user accounts. Add Currently logged in user account and Administrator user account, if it is not added .Both must have Read and Write access to prevent these kinda issues in future .
              8. Once you had added both Currently logged in user account and Administrator user accounts and provided Read and Write access.

              Make sure to Click the Gear icon, and select Apply to Enclosed Item.


              Then Lock and close the Get Info dialog box.

              So that all folders present inside Adobe folder will get Read and Write access.

              Repeat the step 1-8 for the location /library/ Application Support/    (This is the System Library)

               

              Also run Disk Permissions Repair on your MAC.Using Disk Utility to verify or repair disks - Apple Support

                Hi Akash, nope, didn't work, MacBook crashed after one slide
