    Sign & Lock

How can I sign and lock a document without having to "Save As" a different file name; save as the same file/name and not prompt me to "Save As" with a new name?

          Hi ,

It would not be possible to lock the document without saving the file.

The reason is that you actually are making changes to that original file and until and unless those changes are not saved it would not encrypt the PDF.

After you save the file ,the two files remain different ,one would be the normal file and the other would the encrypted one.

This is ideal condition for every file be it PDF or any other ,any changes made to a PDF should be saved so that it sustains the changes made to that document.
