I am an assistant network admin at University of Bonn and I installed a fresh OS (WIN 7) on one the corrupted computers in domain. I did not know that one has to deactivate adobe software before installing new copy of OS. Now the adobe CS3 serial key which was working till yesterday is not letting me activate the new copy of softwares saying its acitvation limit has been reached. I should have had deactivated the old adobe CS3. Now the problem is that software neither had been registered to an adobe ID nor can I access the old computer. Online chat representatives from adobe say they cannot offer support for version older than CS6. Please help in this regard!
Thank you very much.
You should be able to ask support thru chat to reset your activations.
For the link below click the Still Need Help? option in the blue area at the bottom and choose the chat option...

Serial number and activation chat support (non-CC)
If this happens to be a volume license then you have a different path to follow, and I am not sure if it leads anywhere conclusive.
