On a few of the shots certain parts look really different. In particular when the egg is bubbling/frying in the frying pan it looks really vivid and different. How can I achieve this effect style?
Lighting on set when they shoot it helps a lot.
Think lighting with great lighting instruments, great lenses with great contrast, and great art direction. Depending on the budget and the look I'm going for I usually choose the lenses carefully. For reproducing that spot I would probably choose Cooke Primes. Follow that with some careful color grading and you are there. Oops, I forgot to mention that you will also need a camera with a good dynamic range and low noise.
