One of our graphic artists has a repeating issue where she loses server connectivity while working in InDesign. We have reinstalled the product, change the server protocol being used (AFP, SMB, etc) and even issued her a new machine a couple of months ago. She is currently running OS X Yosemite 10.10 on an 21" iMac with a core i5 chip and 8gb of ram. We have even looked through the system logs on the machine and found nothing that would cause it. Any suggestions of any other troubleshooting steps would be appreciated.
Check the sleep setting on both the iMac and the server.
Thank you for the suggestion. I checked with our infrastructure team and that particular server is not set to go to sleep and I just got back from double checking the iMac. It's not set to go to sleep and I made sure the wake for network access option was checked. It may also be worth noting that the machine is bound to our domain. Would that affect it in any?
