Do you have a Standalone version of Lightroom 5(not the one that you see in Creative Cloud)?
If you are looking to upgrade this standalone version of Lightroom5 to version 6.
- Go to Products
- Click “Buy” under “Adobe Lightroom"
- Next to “I want to buy:”, change it from “Full” to “Upgrade”.
- In “I own” pulldown, select the version of Lightroom 5 you own.
- Check-out and download
Now as you already have Photoshop/Lightroom monthly Photography plan. You get Lightroom CC(Cloud version of Lightroom 6 with slightly more features)
So you can download that instead of upgrading to Lightroom 6.Refer Download and install Adobe Creative Cloud apps
Let us know if that helps
I don't have the stand alone. But if I renew my membership then will it be LR6? Also, I believe I will have to upgrade my OS.. presently I have Lion
Yes you need to upgrade your OS for that. You need Mac OS X 10.8, 10.9, or 10.10
You are already paying for Lightroom CC.It was released in June 2015 when you were using Lightroom 5.
As I stated you get Lightroom CC with the Creative Cloud Photography plan which is exactly the same as Lightroom 6,but also it does have more features than Lightroom 6.See Compare Lightroom CC vs. versions 5 & 6 | Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC history
So Download Lightroom CC from the Creative Cloud Application.Refer Download and install Adobe Creative Cloud apps
thank you…I will will follow up on the upgrade before my plan expires..
