What PDF reader and platform are you previewing the links on?
Platform/ Operating system is OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.2
PDF Reader is Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (2015 Release)
I preview the links in InDesign CC (2015) and they all work fine (EPUB Interactivity Preview)
If the links are valid and work in other formats, perhaps Reader is blocking access to these particular URLs.
In Reader, to view if any site has been blocked: Preferences > Trust Manager > Change Settings > You will see a window that lists any website that has been blocked.
It is a document you can post on a service Dropbox with a link so others can view your links? Or can you post a sample?
I feel your pain. I'm having an issue between updating from the last InDesign to 2015, all of my interactive check boxes turned to square dingbats. I have to go back and re-paste all 500ish buttons by hand.
Not only that but in Acrobat Pro DC, my fillable text fields are no longer changeable to Arial or Helvetica, I'm stuck with Times.
Thanks Jeffrey for the suggestion – the links are uploaded on the same website and some of them work, some don't.
Heather – I found that if I saved the document as an idml, and then export an interactive PDF from the idml, it all works fine! Maybe try that next time so you don't have to generate every single button again.
I thought this was the solution – export as idml, then save as a different document, and work with that.
But now having to go back and add a couple of more buttons, I'm facing the same issues. Saved as an idml, but didn't work this time. Recreated the links – still nothing.
Steve – I can't share the specific document, I would say I can post a sample – but when creating a sample it all works fine.
It looks like it's something to do with this specific file...
Any other suggestions..?
Blarg! Thanks for trying Jason!
