I have no idea what that means but I will try. Why would this all of a sudden make a difference?
Since LR6 / CC2015 LR is able to use the GPU to accelerate the develop module.
While this a great thing if you have a powerful graphic card, some older cards / driver have issues if this is activated.
What is the type of your graphic card?
Checking with the 'hardware guy' (my husband haha). It worked before the patch though. I'll let you know if it helps.
- Open Lightroom
- Now open preferences of LR
- Now go to performance and uncheck use Graphics processor
- Restart LR and then check if LR works now in develop module or not
WHOOOT! That was the solution. Graphics card was updated on Tuesday and LR on Thursday so there is something that made them no longer compatible.

You may want to try to update the driver to the latest version.
If you are using an AMD graphic card, make sure to use the latest beta driver: http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/latest-catalyst-windows-beta.aspx
According to the release notes there is a fix included for this problem.
I appreciate your help F. McLion. I will pass along that information. I will probably update the card in the next few weeks also.
Seriously, given that a huge portion of their users are weekend work warriors it is a disgrace that they don't have phone support available on Saturday and Sunday.
